Ephraim⁶ Cary Jr (Ephraim, #41)⁵³⁸^,⁵³⁹ was born on 12 Nov 1714 at Bridgewater, MA.⁵⁴⁰ He married Susanna Alden (see #28), daughter of Capt Ebenezer Alden and Anna Keith, on 22 Nov 1738 at Bridgewater, MA.⁵⁴¹^,⁵⁴² He married Mary Williams in 1784.⁵⁴³ He died in 1791 at Bridgewater, MA; "Alden Memorial" states he died 1791 a 70, this doesn't agree with the birth date I have.

29. Major Isaac⁶ Johnson (David, #45)⁵⁸⁴^,⁵⁸⁵^,⁵⁸⁶^,⁵⁸⁷ was born on 9 Aug 1721 at Bridgewater, MA.⁵⁸⁸^,⁵⁸⁹ He married Mary Willis (see #30), daughter of Thomas Willis and Mary Kinsley, on 21 Jun 1744 at Bridgewater, MA.⁵⁹⁰^,⁵⁹¹ He died on 2 May 1807 at Bridgewater, MA, at age 85.⁵⁹²^,⁵⁹³

He began military service at Bridgewater, Plymouth, MA, Isaac was chosen first Major for Plymouth Colony. "History of Bridgewater, Mass" 2nd Ed 1897, page 211 cited.⁵⁹⁴

Deacon/Lieutenant Mark⁶ Howe (Abraham, #52)⁶³⁷^,⁶³⁸ was born on 28 Mar 1695 at Ipswich, MA.⁶³⁹^,⁶⁴⁰^,⁶⁴¹ He married Hephzibah Perkins (see #34), daughter of Timothy Perkins and Edna Hazen, on 20 Dec 1722.⁶⁴² He married Widow Margaret (Cogswell) Perley on 11 Oct 1759.⁶⁴³ He married Widow Elizabeth Broadstreet on 26 Apr 1763.⁶⁴⁴ He died on 17 Feb 1770 at Linebrook Parish, Ipswich, MA, at age 74.⁶⁴⁵^,⁶⁴⁶

Howe Genealogies pages 166-168 describe Mark and his life. We know considerable detail of his life, due to his habit of carefully recording events in the family account book, which had been started by his father. He was a weaver, farmer, genealogist, saw to legal matters, a deacon of the church. on 23 Sept 1749 at age 60 was commissioned by Governor Shirley as Lieutenant of the First Company of Foot, in the regiment commanded by Colonel Thomas Berry.⁶⁴⁷ He left a will on 6 Mar 1767 at Ipswich, MA; proved 27 Feb 1770.⁶⁴⁸

35. Eliphalet⁶ Payson (Edward, #56) was born on 12 Nov 1689 at Rowley, MA. He married Edna Prime (see #36), daughter of Mark Prime and Jane Lambert, on 16 Feb 1725/26.⁷⁰⁰ He died on 12 May 1776 at age 86.

He lived in Rev Samuel Phillips house.

36. Edna⁶ Prime (Mark, #58) was born on 15 Jun 1705 at Rowley, MA. She married Eliphalet Payson (see #35), son of Edward Payson Rev and Elizabeth Phillips, on 16 Feb 1725/26.⁷⁰¹ She died on 28 May 1778 at age 72; Died in home of son-in-law Paul Jewett.
