4. Simeon3 Sanborn (Daniel, #8);53,54 born 5 Jul 1759;55 christened 8 Jul 1759 at Hampton Falls, NH;56 married Hannah Ward (see #5) 9 Jan 1782 at Standish, ME;57 died 28 Oct 1832 at age 73.58

He was Was town clerk for years at Standish, ME.59 He lived after 1759 at Standish, ME, "early moved to Standish with his father" later moved to Greenwood and Bethel, ME.60 He began military service circa 1776 Revolutionary War service.61

5. Hannah3 Ward; born circa 1763; "of Gorham" (note I found somewhere); married Simeon Sanborn (see #4), son of Daniel Sanborn and Jane Moulton, 9 Jan 1782 at Standish, ME;92 died 20 Jun 1850 at Bethel, ME; aged 87.93,94

6. Samuel3 Varrell Jr (Samuel, #10) Samuel Jr in Minot and Poland records;95,96 born 8 Aug 1757 at Gloucester, MA; christened 21 Aug 1757 at Gloucester, MA;97 married Sarah Prince (see #7) 24 Apr 1780 at New Gloucester, MA;98,99 died 15 Dec 1838 at age 81; age 81 years 4 months;100 buried after 15 Dec 1838 at Center Minot, ME; Gravestone spells name Verrill. "Mark the Perfect Man."101

"Did you ever see the picture "The Spirit of "76"? ... It is of three soldiers in the Revolution. One carries the flag, one beats the drum, and the third, only a boy, plays the fife. And the young fifer might have been your own great great great grandfather. I do not know his first name, but his last name is Verrill. His daughter was Lucy Verrill, who married Simeon Sanborn."102 He began military service on 9 Jan 1776 A fifer. 3 short enlistments 9 Jan to 1 Jun and 7 Sept to 18 Nov, for coast defense. Also served in 1778 doing guard duty over Burguoyne's captured army. Pentioned 1832.103 He was Highway surveyor in 1797 at Poland, ME.104 He was Elected Clerk and Treasurer, served 16 years, declined further service, re-elected anyway, served 6 more years. Register of Deeds in 1816 in 1806 at Minot, ME.105 As of 15 Dec 1838, he was also known as Samuel Verrill on gravestone.106

7. Sarah3 Prince; born between 13 Feb 1762 and 1763 at New Glocester, MA;107 married Samuel Varrell Jr (see #6), son of Samuel Varrell and Eunice Bray, 24 Apr 1780 at New Gloucester, MA;108,109 died 19 Dec 1854; aged 91 years 10 months;110 buried after 19 Dec 1854 at Center Minot, ME.111
