Grammie B has a memory of Mary (her grandmother) as being overweight, having trouble moving around, and being someone who "bossed the place", meaning not shy about giving orders. Her husband rememberd as having died well before his wife. If I understood correctly, Lillian lived on the third floor, Will on the second, and Mary on the first floor, kitchen by the garden, behind the Pratt Library.
