Arthur Sr never spoke of his first or second wife, per all current accounts. There may have been others. Olive and Arthur were his childrend by the first known wife. The second known wife arrived with a child, both died of the flu. According to Grammie, he lost everything in the depression, which may have been related to his return to the east from Cleveland. He was worker at some point at the Navy Yard. I have a security badge from the yard with his picture. He also had Singer sewing machine patents at Navy Yard, Brooklyn, NY. As of 30 Aug 1852, he was also known as Alonzo Bouton Called Alonzo in the Rensselaerville records.
Children of Arthur Alonzo2 Bouton and Mary Benetta LaForge (see #3) were as follows:
She was the original owner of the black sewing rocker. Grammie remembers her as a very smart woman, with a good memory (her mother-in-law).21
