He and his wife tended to represent themselves as younger in later years. The 11 Oct 1814 was reported on the 1900 census;93 married Eliza Frost (see #9), daughter of Stephen Frost and Phebe Craft, 20 Feb 1836 at Presbyterian Church, Jamaica, NY; Elbert's stated age 22, Eliza 19. Eliza listed as "daug'r St'n Frost, dec'd". Her sister Maria also married on the same day;94 died 19 Jan 1901 at age 86; rvll cem 429.95
He was a carpenter. In later census reports called a "house carpenter" in 1836.96 He appeared on the census of 1850 at Queens (now part of Hempstead), Ny; Elbert Watts, 33 carpenter, Eliza 32 (actually they were older) children Mary E 10, Hannah H 8, Sarah L 5, Thomas M 3, Hendrickson 2. (pages 179-180).97 He appeared on the census of 1900; Lists Elbert born Oct 11, 1814, age 85, Eliza born Sept 5, 1815 age 84, mother to 7, 5 still living, married 65 years. Thomas M. Hendrickson, 20 Feb 1836 at Presbyterian Church, Jamaica, NY; Elbert's stated age 22, Eliza 19. Eliza listed as "daug'r St'n Frost, dec'd". Her sister Maria also married on the same day;125 died 28 Apr 1902 at age 86.126
She In one later census Eliza indicated she was mother to seven children, the identity of the 7th is unknown.

12. CHARLES C4 ROSCHE (John, #23); born 1814 at NY; Rand shows NY, Alsace or Germany per Grammie;137 married Margaretha Francis (--?--) (see #13) 1834;138 died 1909.
He was also known as Christian Rosche. He immigrated circa 1858 to Alsace Came in sailing ship per Grammie. Perhaps the story connects to a previous generation.139,140 He was a grocer. The family established a grocery market, near the train station to Long Island (Adelphi St?). The family lived upstairs in a Brunswick brownstone, there was a place for horses next door after 1858 at Adelphi St, Brooklyn, NY.141
