Mary's family quilt is at the Bethel Historical Society.13 Eleanor had Mary Abigail's "walk-the-bride dress". If I got the story half right, wedding dresses weren't supposed to be all that fancy in those days. The bride would make up by putting together a special outfit to wear on the day after the wedding, her first walk out with her husband as a new bride. This has now been given to the Maine Historical Society in Portland, for proper preservation.14
