10. Shubael⁵ Bouton (John, #12);¹²¹^,¹²² born 29 Dec 1740 at Norwalk, CT;¹²³ christened 21 Jun 1749 at Norwalk, CT; Records of St John Church, Stamford cited, lists christening date and parents John and Sarah Bouton;¹²⁴ married Mary Hodge (see #11) 1766 at CT; probably before leaving CT. Some accounts say he married a Seymore, he may have had 2 wives;¹²⁵ died after 1785 at Rensselaerville, NY.¹²⁶

He began military service at Westchester, NY, Revolutionary war service, 4th Regiment of Westchester Militia, later 2nd Regiment, both under Major Thaddeus Crane.¹²⁷ He was "Regarded as a most ernest and consistent Christian of the Quaker sect." (this may refer to another Shubael, military service?). He was by trade a weaver, had ambition to be a farmer after 1760. He lived circa 1795 at Rensselaerville, NY, "moved early to Duchess County, later moved again and settled in Rensselaerville in 1795" (must refer to another Shubael, or I copied the date wrong- WAF).

ii. Shubael Bouton;¹³³^,¹³⁴ born 4 Nov 1770 at Stephentown, NY;¹³⁵ married Betsy Watson circa 1790;¹³⁶ married Hannah Fancher after 1810.¹³⁷
iii. Samuel Bouton;¹³⁸^,¹³⁹ born 6 Jun 1772 at Steventown, NY;¹⁴⁰ married Ada Ball circa 1790;¹⁴¹ married Polly Alger after 1790;¹⁴² married Martha Pierce after 1800;¹⁴³ died 18 Apr 1841 at age 68.
iv. Sarah Bouton;¹⁴⁴^,¹⁴⁵ born 1773 at Stephentown, NY;¹⁴⁶ married David Bailey.¹⁴⁷

vi. Polly Bouton;¹⁴⁸^,¹⁴⁹ born 1776 at Stephentown, NY;¹⁵⁰ married Abraham Fancher circa 1796.¹⁵¹
vii. Betsy Bouton;¹⁵²^,¹⁵³ born 1777 at Stephentown, NY;¹⁵⁴ married Levi Lincoln circa 1797.¹⁵⁵

She lived after 1797 at Summit, NY.
viii. Charlotte Bouton;¹⁵⁶^,¹⁵⁷ born 1779 at Stephentown, NY;¹⁵⁸ married Julius Beeman Rev circa 1796; lived in Stephentown.¹⁵⁹
ix. Jessie Bouton;¹⁶⁰^,¹⁶¹ born 1780 at Stephentown, NY;¹⁶² married Abigail Van Valkenburg circa 1800; lived at Summit.¹⁶³
x. Hannah Bouton;¹⁶⁴^,¹⁶⁵ born 1781 at Stephentown, NY;¹⁶⁶ married Hazzard Smith circa 1800; lived in Worcester, Otsego County, NY;¹⁶⁷ died 17 Apr 1853 at NY.¹⁶⁸
xi. Seymour Bouton;¹⁶⁹^,¹⁷⁰ born 1782 at Stephentown, NY;¹⁷¹ married Phoebe Mix circa 1800; settled in Charlotsville, NY.¹⁷²
xii. Phebe Bouton;¹⁷³^,¹⁷⁴ born 1783 at Stephentown, NY;¹⁷⁵ married John Smith circa 1800; settled in Rensselaerville, NY.¹⁷⁶
xiii. Catherine Bouton;¹⁷⁷^,¹⁷⁸ born 1785 at Stephentown, NY; never married, died age 18 in Rensselaerville;¹⁷⁹ died circa 1803 at Rensselaerville, NY.
xiv. Harvey Bouton;¹⁸⁰^,¹⁸¹ born after 1785 at Stephentown, NY; married Ada Tanner circa 1811; no children;¹⁸² died circa 1812; disappeared soon after being married, supposed murdered.¹⁸³

11. Mary⁵ Hodge; born 15 Oct 1747;¹⁸⁴ married Shubael Bouton (see #10), son of John Bouton and Sarah Seymour, 1766 at CT; probably before leaving CT. Some accounts say he married a Seymore, he may have had 2 wives;¹⁸⁵ died 15 Nov 1817 at Rensselaerville, NY, at age 70.¹⁸⁶
