Reference to Åby Samtag #365;⁹ christened 11 Sep 1865 at Samtag, Åby, Ödeshög, Östergötland, Sweden; Mamsell Josephine Rehnberg and Yorglingen Johan Rehnberg of Backasand were witnesses;¹⁰ married Anna Bella Macauley (see #3), daughter of James Macauley and Ann Davidson, circa 1890 at Brooklyn, Kings County, NY;¹¹ died 7 Dec 1927 at Ave A, Cornwall-on-Hdsn, NY, at age 62; Died suddenly after a short illness;¹² buried 10 Dec 1927 at Friends Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.¹³^,¹⁴

He was confirmed; Augustus A was sexton. As of 8 Sep 1865, he was also known as Pehr Johan Fredriksson.¹⁵ He emigrated on 28 Apr 1871 from Brodderyd, Ödeshög, Östergötland, Sweden; Mother with 3 daughters and 3 sons left for Amerika. Town unclear, Brdenyle?¹⁶ He was a boatman per 1900 census. Barge captain or owner, brought bricks and building stone downriver to NYC, per oral history. At age 13 working in brickyard, per 1880 census circa 1900 at Hudson River, NY. He was ill with rheumatism, supposedly from fall on barge. A photograph showing him late in life clearly shows arthritic hands circa 1900. The story passed down is of Peter stomping his foot in time while playing piano or accordian, also ice skating. He was "served as an elder for a number of years."¹⁷ He was worker for the Cromwell Press just before his death circa 1927 at Cromwell, NY.¹⁸

iii. Frederick Peter;²⁶^,²⁷^,²⁸^,²⁹ born 2 May 1895;³⁰ married Josephine (--?--) after 1910; Fred's first wife; married Mary C (--?--) after 1911; second wife, mother of Mary Ann; died 4 Mar 1956 at age 60.³¹

He was Pharmacist at Rexall on Broadway? He began military service circa 1916 Ambulance driver WWI, injured foot. Cook per gravestone.
iv. James Augustus;³²^,³³^,³⁴^,³⁵ born 16 Aug 1897;³⁶ married Louise Magna circa 1910; died 27 Mar 1970 at age 72.

He was Chemist with Masury Paints (Dupont).
